As you might already know, 2 weeks ago Gateway has announced they have a new update which makes booting gateway possible on 9.x firmwares and new 3ds, 3ds xl. They also advised not to update beyond 9.2 if Nintendo pushes a new update.
After 2 weeks, at last, today Gateway gave us more info with a video. In the video we can clearly see a Japanese New Nintendo 3DS with 9.2 firmware can run Gateway Red card. Also we can see this new gateway firmware update supports Region-Free, Multi-Rom menu, homebrew booting and Dev Menu with .cia install. It can also run latest games like Smash Bros 3DS.
Well, with a Dev Menu, homebrew support, region-free and without 10 games limit, Gateway looks like a much better choice than SKY3DS and the clones for now.
I would advise to wait for the actual update release before buying any 3DS Flash card especially the ones with 10 games limit.

Great and excited! But just wish gateway 3ds team do not make us wait more two qeeks! Everyday I came to the page expecting to found something new. GWTeam, release this update fastly!!!! Cos i already have my gateway 3ds in hand now from one offical usa reseller: want to use it on my new 3ds console.
Yeah, waiting is though. Do you have Cubic Ninja? You can use it for homebrew/emulators while waiting.
