For a full List of REBUGs Features please have a look at the original Blog Post.

This CFW is only for PS3 Models up to 2,5k. Newer Slim Models and Super Slim are NOT Supported! And of course, you will need to have a CFW already installed or be on 3.55 to install this CFW!

The Download link for the CFW can be found on the bottom of the Post on rebug.me as always 🙂
If you want to install REBUG on a CEX/Retail PS3 System you will need the REX version. If you want to install REBUG on a DEX/Developer PS3 System you will need the D-REX version.

Installation method is the same as any other CFW/MFW/OFW.

Just make a Folder called PS3 on the root of your USB and in that folder make a folder called UPDATE. Copy the REBUG_4.80.1_REX_cb75654175c8c42f8bed8b1a73bcad1b_PS3UPDAT or REBUG_4.80.1_D-REX_d7b460caa6df6fcfb03c115f6c72a440_PS3UPDAT in there and rename it to PS3UPDAT.PUP. Then just plug your USB into your PS3 and update via USB.

After installation, the Webman, Cobra mode and XMB CFW Settings will be disabled. You will have to activate it by using these Steps:

  1. Go to the Package installer and install the 02.02.10 Rebug Toolbox which is copied to your HDD after installing Rebug 4.80.1
  2. Install Rebug Toolbox 02.02.10 and launch it.
  3. If you want Cobra, Webman and XMB CFW Settings you need to enable all three settings. After that, just exit and your PS3 will restart.

You now have Webman, Cobra and XMB CFW Settings enabled 🙂

If any of you have access to upcoming DEX Firmware please get in contact with Team REBUG.
If they can get multiple sources for DEX they can release faster.

This time, they were again really fast to release a new version of Rebug CFW again so I finally don’t need to sacrifice my PS2 functionality of my PS3 anymore just so that I can install a spoofer to play online every time ^^

  1. I have a 3.55 PS3. What do I install first to get on to DEX firmware?

  2. Can i sign into sony playstore on rebug 4.80 cex with psn patch activated and not get my console banned?

  3. I have a 4.80 (multiman) PS3. Before entering any game it dispays me the same message:” The latest update for this software has been found. To sign in and use this software, you must update the software to the latest version. The system will quit the software and start installing. Version 1.02″, and the OK button. What do i need to do to stop this message from appearing? Because it doesn’t allow me to play all the games (ex. Plants vs Zombies II). Thanks!
