Alternatives to the Google Play Store for any Android Device

 Well I figured it’s time for me to talk about the Black market app for Android again. When I first started doing this web site fun stuff back in 2011. I was big on android and the hopes of the xperia play, but what a let down that was. So now its time to talk about third party markets for Android, because of the GameStick.

I know you can get the Play store working on the Gamestick or you can go with the custom rom. If you don’t want to go though all that trouble to get the Play store working. You can try third party store apps, like the Black market app which has a lot of stuff on there.

BlackMaket

We all should now that with third party apps there is always a risks of malware. It is although a fact that content at Blackmarket isn’t always safe, but it is also a fact that there is a very big number of Android users who like this app to get games and other things for free. The only thing, which the Blackmart users mostly discuss, is the poor download speed of apps and games via Blackmart Alpha from Blackmarket.

 

Slideme

Another alternative Android app store has a global reach and a decent user base. It offers free and premium apps in various categories and they all pass through a quality control process. One of the attractions for users is availability globally and support for various payment options including PayPal. It’s also easy to filter your searches and you’ll find good app descriptions.

There is probably a greater enticement for developers because Slide ME offers the chance to target a wider international audience. Apps are more likely to stand out because the choice is more refined. Developers can set prices and choose to offer their apps for free. There is also a Slide ME ad network. It is even possible to get a greater percentage of the revenue generated by your app with Slide ME, than the standard 70 percent you’ll get in most places.

F-Droid

The very specific focus of F-Droid is free and open source software (FOSS) Android apps. It’s pretty basic, but there is some categorization and the list is searchable. You’ll find a big selection of free apps here and they all promise no tracking, no ads, and no dependencies. It’s worth checking out for free apps, especially if you support the open source movement.

Obviously developers will only want to venture here if they intend to release their creations with no expectation of profit.

Pandaapp

Pandaapp continues to be a popular way how downloading Android apps. The Pandaapp store is available either via their website, or their own Android application which can be downloaded for free. All the Android apps on the Pandaapp store are Free, but please take care as there are plenty of cracked and pirated games!

GetJar

While Opera and Amazon offer clean and easy ways to navigate and get your apps on your Android device, GetJar offers a less user friendly and more cluttered approach to Android apps downloads. However that’s not to say GetJar is difficult to use, it just could be a lot simpler.

Like the other alternative app stores on the list, GetJar offers users to search and download popular applications, but unlike some of the others, this store also has a lot of unique hacks and apps developed by budding designers.
