Today I was browsing around in one of the biggest Android community on Google+ and notice a lot of people were quite pissed off that Google allowed this app in the play store.
The comments for Apple’s first app can be quite ridiculous in the Android community on Google+. Some of them sound more like whining and how could Google allow this app in the Play store. Here you can see some of the comments on the app, which are not as bad as the ones in the Android community on Google+.
Even with 20k+ negative reviews and no matter what the community has to say. It seems that the app is a hit in the play store and has been downloaded quite a bit. The orange bar in the picture below are the negative reviews and I believe it will continue to climb. It’s quite nice to see that the Android community, all shares the same hatred towards idevices.
Here is what the Move to iOS app does…
“Everything about iOS is designed to be easy. That includes switching to it. With just a few steps, you can migrate your content automatically and securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before switching from Android. The Move to iOS app securely transfers all kinds of content for you:
Contacts
Message history
Camera photos and videos
Web bookmarks
Mail accounts
Calendars
When you choose to migrate your data, your new iPhone or iPad will create a private Wi-Fi network and find your nearby Android device running Move to iOS. After you enter a security code, it will begin transferring your content and put it in the right places. Just like that. Once your content has been transferred, you’re ready to get going. iOS will also set up your default mail account. That’s it — you can start using your new iPhone or iPad and experiencing its endless possibilities. Enjoy.
Move to iOS is supported on all phones and tablets running Android 4.0 and later.”
So what do I have to say about this? I don’t care, I like that everyone has the option to pick whatever device they want to use. The one thing I dislike about smartphones, is that they are locked to the service provider you buy it on. Unless you unlock them yourself, but I’ll save that for a whole different article.
I think the app itself is pretty cool. The kneejerk reaction can be expected. But, the actual app is a great idea, for people that would actually use it. When I saw the name I figured it was like an app from apple that was like something to push android users to use ios, but, what it is is pretty cool actually.
I will be return to android?
We need an APP IOS to Android LOL
