Where to get those cool DIY handhelds…

We’ve all seen cool DIY projects on social media or somewhere on the internet: someone takes a Sega Dreamcast memory card, guts it and turns it into a mini-game boy. A lot of us would love to make something like that but just don’t have the time or skills to do it; most of the time things like this always feel like they’re out of reach… but not anymore!

A modder by the name of Marky pi has created his own little shop where he sells these DIY consoles and parts. Supplies are going to be limited, of course, because these are all handmade but man do they look good!

Now some of you might say, “wow that’s pretty expensive” but you have to think about the parts, time and effort he puts in to making these DIY handhelds. These are not easy to make otherwise we would all be doing it. In reality, I’m not too bad at DIY and I’m even thinking about picking up one of those Sega Dreamcast VMU with a little pi inside since they’re so hard to make. If you are interested in checking out what he has you can take a look at his shop at markypigaming.com and he also has an Instagram account at marky_pi.
