The day has come, at last Wii-U 5.5.2 update is live! An people are scared, worried, and even a bit shocked, but the question is what did they do or fix?
This is what Nintendo has said it has under the hood.
Version 5.5.2 U:
Released July 17th, 2017
Improvements to system stability and usability:
- Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience
We all thought that Nintendo had just given up on the Wii-U but it seems they had to fix one thing before they go. This new update seems to patch the browser exploit.
On the system side, it has not done anything to improve the way the system behaves and some users are saying that it has slowed some simple things such as loading Miiverse or the eShop.
UPDATE:
“The Miiverse service has ended. Miiverse and any software features that make use of Miiverse are now unavailable.”
Now if you’re still running the browser exploit your best bet is to stay off line, I repeat STAY OFF LINE and don’t update and look into a more permanent solution like CFW.
Thanks for reading and keep doing it for the love of the game.
