Nintendo 3DS | Release Date: November 18, 2016
For an entire player base who grew up with one mission: to catch ’em all, November 18 marks the evolution that core concept… the type of evolution you mash ‘A,’ the whole time! Pokemon Sun & Moon follow Nintendo’s design trend of new Pokemon to catch, graphical updates, and a beautiful world to explore, but in ways that shake up themes that have been central to the game since inception! We’ve kept busy with Niantic’s PokemoGo, but us Pokefans are in need of the real thing!

Heavily inspired by the Galapagos Isles, and the perfect examples of the evolutionary process discovered there by Charles Darwin, the brand new island region called Alola houses tons of Pokemon who are really quite different from their mainland counterparts. Some of the new additions are total type switches like Vulpix & Ninetiles going from Fire to Ice, and others add a typing to the mix like Raticate’s Dark/Normal Alola form. The Pokemon Company haven’t been slacking at all though, in addition to Alola forms there are tons of never before seen Pokemon to find on the islands!
