Play! released: PS2 emulator for Android devices

Good news everyone! Play! is a famous PS2 emulator developed by the developer Jean-Philip Desjardins and written entirely in C and C ++ for Windows, OSX, and Android.Play-Playstation-2-Emulator-Android-2

There was no sign about the version for Android, at least until now, this can be defined as still a beta version of the emulator, following this link will take you to a list of compatible titles.

The emulator Play! It employs a caching system and rebuilds instructions for better performance by emulating the CPU.

  • Completed the virtual pad (including analog sticks and triggers L1 / L2 / R1 / R2).
  • Compatibility updates (FFXII should be playable, albeit very slowly on Android).

Next Update

  • Support for an external gamepad.

Now I sincerely hope that some developer is able to bring this emulator on ps vita thanks to the recent Rejuvenate of Yifanlu.

I’m not a coder so I might say something stupid but if rejuvenate works in c++ as this emulator does, with the power of ps vita I’m sure it will run very smooth.

Does anyone want to take the challenge?

  1. The only problem is the name. The dev (1 person I think) should consider changing the name to make it more easier to find. I mean when you type in “Play!” it does not show the emulator. But yeah it’s all good I’m supporting this project now.
