Dev App unable to be downloaded for some!

Well, as expected, if you’ve messed around and waited thinking you had plenty of time to get the dev app on your Vita so you may be SoL and you know what that means!!!

It seems Sony has caught on VERY QUICKLY and removed the ability to download the app for some people! If you haven’t gotten it I suggest you do it NOW if you still can. Now, if you’ve already downloaded the app previously then it should still be in your download list able to be downloaded. Someone else said it’s gone from their download list so Sony is up to something. I suggest you get it and back it up ASASP!!!

Update: we’re getting conflicting reports here. It seems the key (as explained by SMOKE) is that if you have downloaded the app in the past (i.e. if you already have the rights to install it), or if you’re an approved PSM publisher, you’ll still be able to download the app. People who are neither an approved PSM publisher AND did not download the app before cannot download it, apparently. Nevertheless, it’s worth giving it a try if you can.

Update 2: SMOKE dug a bit more, and it seems it all boils down to people who have signed in to the PSM Dev portal vs those who have not. In theory, people who have signed in at least once to the PSM Dev portal are recognized as “devs”, even if they did not get approved as publishers, BUT it is not possible to sign in to the dev portal anymore at this point (See screenshot below), so the result is the same: the app cannot be downloaded if you hadn’t gone through these steps before.

Then I don’t know what to tell you except if you snooze you lose! Everyone has known about this for a VERY long time so if you missed out there’s no one to blame but yourself.
