PSVita: Adrenaline updated to 6.2, fixed PS1 framerate & adds support for f.lux…

Developer TheFlow is back at it again and updated his PSPEmu CFW Adrenaline to Version 6.2. With this release, he adds Rinnegatamantes f.lux to it. If you don’t know what f.lux is: F.lux is a software commonly used on PC to filter blue lights and make the screen look warmer.

This is especially useful when playing late in the evening or night when the bright display just simply annoys with its brightness. Filtering blue light also helps when you just want to play a little before going to sleep since the normally blue light keeps the body awake.

Besides this great addition, TheFlow has also fixed a few bugs that had been plaguing Adrenaline under certain circumstances. The Full Changelog can be found below:

Changelog v6.2

  • Added f.lux by Rinnegatamante.
  • Fixed PS1 framerate when using a custom screen.
  • Fixed bug where exiting a game with ‘High memory layout’ would crash.
  • Fixed compatibility with ‘Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep’ English patch, again.

You can download the latest version here.

I personally really appreciate this update since f.lux is quite nice and the bug fixes may not be for everyone but they add the stability which makes this nearly perfect. With my PS Vita 1000s OLED Display and an SD2VITA Adapter, I personally prefer using Adrenaline on my Vita over playing Games on my PSPs by now (Except for my Go since it’s far more compact and portable for some quick gaming)
