Many people say Jailbreaking doesn’t make much sense nowadays and isn’t simply worth it anymore. I for my part have and always had my iPhone(s) jailbroken from day one. Being able to change, mod, add or do whatever I want is a must for me.. (yes thats our slogan here @ hackinformer but its true isn’t it?!) I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking this way.. Alright enough of that now 😛
So for all the oldtimers this one might ring a bell because JailbreakMe is back!! For everyone else here a brief explanation; JailbreakMe can jailbreak your iDevice only by using Safari with no cables and additional tools required. It was originally created by Comex and reaching back to the iOS 2 days! Many people liked it because it was so easy-to-use and simple. But with Apple’s security getting better and better over the years ‘more advanced’ methods were needed instead.. Thats why its pretty exciting to see a new JailbreakMe release for iOS 9 in (almost 2018)!

Just yesterday @thimstar released JailbreakMe 4.0 for 32-bit devices running 9.1 to 9.3.4

As its really that easy as pressing a button, there isn’t much to mention other than this will be a tethered jailbreak only if you just use it like that. But you can of course make the Jailbreak fully unthetered by installing UntetherHomeDepot & the CommunityOffsets via Cydia as tihmstar suggest!
.@iDeclareRepair you can install UntetherHomeDepot from my Cydia repo, to make it fully untethered 😉

An iOS 9 jailbreak for old devices only?!
Now I know what many people might say; Of course the majority doesn’t have any 32-bit devices anymore and the chance of running iOS 9 makes it even fewer people. While thats true tihmstar clearly states that his project was more of a fun project to him and it may not be very practical for many people anymore. BUT the fact that there are still people interested in jailbreaking and even being able to revive JailbreakMe, we think there is hope for the community!
