Good day peeps! I was introduced to a cool game that is 100% new to me and I must say it is quite fun and also challenging. I’m referring to 10 Second Ninja X by Curve Digital! They have really outdone themselves with this little diddy!
Essentially you’re a ninja, shocking I know, and you’re in charge of taking care of the forest. A pirate shows up and kidnaps all the forest critters and you must save them. When you arrive on his ship you discover he has a set of challenges for you to overcome to get your friends back.
The premise of 10 Second Ninja is quite simple but accomplishing it is anything but. You have 10 seconds to destroy all the enemies in the room by either hitting them with your sword or throwing a shuriken at them. There are different types of enemies, some taking multiple hits to kill, and obstacles to overcome.
Now when I first saw that this game was coming to PS4 I thought it looked really cute and might be a good kids game. Boy was I wrong. Well, sort of wrong. 10 Second Ninja is quite a challenging game. It may be good for kids for the simple fact that they will learn patience and how persistence pays off. The first few levels are quite simple as far as completing them. Getting three stars is quite a different story.
This game seems to tease me, laughing saying “oh, you almost got it. Give it another shot!” until it’s 3AM and you have to work at 8. It tells you just how far you are from the next star. For me it’s usually the second star since I’m not really good at 10 Second Ninja X but I am thoroughly enjoying it. The setup is similar to Baseball Riot where you can go through the first area and finish every level but still not advance. To advance you must have 20 stars. The problem? There are only 10 levels so you must either get three stars on some or get two stars on every level.
As far as price is concerned this game has a fair and reasonable price. On PSN the retail price is $9.99 USD but it’s on sale 40% off at the moment, July 25th, 2016, for $6.99 USD. That’s really not bad! It’s available on PS4, PS Vita, PC and XboxOne!
Here is some gameplay and hopefully you will see, as I did, that this is an interesting game!
I’m sure you’re all eager to see my ratings so without further dudes (Peter Griffin reference) here they are and as always HAPPY GAMING…
