Apple has concluded their conference event. Here is a rundown of all the information of everything that was presented today.
- Apple reaffirms their stance on security on their device and states they will continue to protect all customer information and privacy. They also thank everyone for the overwhelming support.
- Apple announces that over 93% of their facilities all run on renewable energy and they will continue this cause well into 100%. This includes all their devices.
- Apple announces CareKit. The app will be available in April. It is an expansion on the ResearchKit app, but with a health orientated focus. Their aim is to help advance the research in the health field on several fronts. The examples given were earlier detection in Autism and Parkinson’s Disease.
- As expected from earlier rumors, Apple announced several different bands for the Apple Watch. This includes a new Woven Nylon Band, a Space Black Milanese Loop, and new Sport band colors.
- In addition to the bands, Apple announced they will cut the price of the Apple Watch Sport models by 100 dollars.
- As many speculated, Apple announced the iPhone SE. Here is a list of the features and specs that were given during the event:
- 4-inch display protected by a 2.5D glass (similarly found in the iPhone 6 and 6s models)
- 1334 x 750 display (same as iPhone 6 and 6s models)
- Newest A9 chip (found in the iPhone 6s and 6s plus models)
- Newest A9 motion co-processor and 1 GB of RAM
- 16 or 64 GB models
- Always on “Hey Siri”
- 12MP iSight camera with Focus Pixels and True Tone Flash
- Facetime HD camera (front camera)
- Apple Pay support
- Touch ID support
- Wifi b/g/n/ac support
- Bluetooth 4.2 support
- Wifi Calling
- New LTE chip which supports faster loading
- Improved battery life (claims up to 13 hours while using wifi and LTE.
- Preorders go live on March 24th. Apple will begin shipping directly March 30th and will be in stores March 31st. 16 GB model will cost $399 while 32 GB will cost $499.
- New OS updates will go live today. They are the following:

- OS X 10.11.4
- Apple officially announced the new model of the iPad Pro. Here is a list of the features and specs given during the event:
- 9.7-inch display with a 1.8% reflectivity screen (lowest on any tablet ever)
- 25% brighter and 25% more color saturation than the Air 2
- “True Tone” Display (measures the color temperature of ambient light with a two four-four channel ambient sensor and automatically adjusts the display to match it)
