The American company Oculus VR today made an announcement regarding the preorders of its virtual reality headset Oculus Rift.
Oculus VR’s Kickstarter campaign for Rift in 2012 received a sensational response and raised more than $2.4 mil. In March of 2014, the company became a subsidiary of Facebook.
Today at 8am, the article on Oculus Blog modestly (but with excitement) announced that pre-orders for Rift would open on Oculus.com at 8am Pacific Time on January 6 (Wednesday). The price is yet to be announced.
Additional information will be shared as the preorders open. Later that day, you may ask Palmer Luckey, the founder of the company himself, on /r/IAmA, starting at 6pm Pacific Time.
Moreover, the post says the following:
As a reminder, every Rift comes bundled with Lucky’s Tale by Playful, and we’re also including CCP’s EVE: Valkyrie for free with every pre-order!
After all those years, we are almost there, guys! We will tell you more on Wednesday.
