Update at bottom!!
It seems that someone has figured out a way to get access to your previously downloaded copy of PT. Now this doesn’t mean if you’ve never had it you can get it. This is ONLY for those who got it and then somehow, whether intentionally or accidentally, deleted it.
So basically, what you have to do is download a PC program, Squid, which allows you to access your library via proxy. This is obviously a “do it at your own risk” deal because I haven’t done it (I didn’t delete my copy) nor will I be doing it. As far as I know there have been no brick or ban or any other complaints on this method but there’s always the first person. Therefore be assured I assume absolutely no responsibility for what consequences your actions bring, if any.
With that said it seems there is a video that I will include at the bottom, along with my source, that shows how to re-acquire this PT demo. I think it’s pretty awesome that you can now get your old demo back if you ended up losing it somehow. I honestly don’t see there being a problem with you doing this since it’s your account and all you’re doing is getting access to something you already technically own. I can’t see any ban or brick issues arising. I would think they may patch this just so we don’t have a “backdoor” to our library since Sony seems to like to do that.
Well, that’s about all I’ve got. Here is the video followed by a link to gamexeon article where I found this info about PT. Thanks for reading and as always… HAPPY GAMING!!!
Update: It seems there is a comment at the bottom of the video saying there are reports of banning and bricking. Take it as you will. I don’t know.
Screw you Konami! Sell your IPs if they’re just going to be pachinko decal!
I hope this glorious demo gets preserved like it should be.
