Valve have officially announced launch dates for the first official Steam Machine, Steam Link ($50/£40) a home streaming device and the Steam Controller ($50/£40).

Anyone pre-ordering these gadgets can get their hands on them even before the official release date several weeks prior to the retail launch on November 10. Anyone willing to pay in advanced could be getting their devices on October 16.

Partnering up with various PC manufacturers CyberPower and Alienware, the licence d product will start at prices between $449 to $1,419 for a Steam Machine, depending on the specs. The various Steam Machines will all run Steam OS, as the system will also be able to play games that have been purchased on Steam by streaming it from a local Windows computer.

General manager of Alienware and XPS, Dell commented, “We have collaborated for years with Valve and GameStop to develop a platform with the best content, the best performance, and the best value compared to anything else on the market. Finally, with this pre-order, we have a chance to address the building anticipation for the latest and greatest gaming system.”

Retailers all around the world from GameStop, EB Games, GAME UK, and Steam will be able to pre-sell the Steam Link as well as the Steam controller.
