It’s officially been 7 years since the release of Fallout 3. The rumor mill has finally come to a halt today when Fallout 4 went live prematurely for a few moments on Bethesda’s official sub-domain which showcased a 3 minute launch trailer with the countdown timer, “Please Stand By”. The announcement accompanied by a cinematic teaser trailer shows audiences a Boston wasteland with the Ink Spots song playing on the radio, and a dog searching through the remnants of a run down house.
Such themes are reminiscent of the franchises predecessors pre-war story time crossing over to an apocalyptic dystopia.
As it was announced earlier this year, Bethesda is to host their very own and first ever E3 conference briefing, where players can expect to see more details.
Director of the new Fallout game stated, “We know what this game means to everyone. The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We’ve never been more excited about a game, and we can’t wait to share it.”
Fallout 4 is slated for release on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
