It looks like the advancement of Android can render some of the most popular automatic root methods useless. As a result of that, we all need to look for new and innovative ways to try and keep our devices (and the devices that will come soon) rooted to be able to fully enjoy them. With this in mind, XDA Recognized Developer DooMLoRD developed a method based on the zergRush exploit by Team Revolution. The dev originally created this method for the Xperia devices, in which it worked quite well. However, some people decided to take it for a spin on other devices such as the SGS2 as well, and much to the dev’s surprise, it worked flawlessly.
Working with this is as easy as one, two, three. The only thing that must be done is to unzip the file and run it in your Windows PC. The computer will prompt you and guide through the entire process, process that is by no means long. To make this even sweeter, the dev has also provided a script to un-root the device if you ever need to get it back to manufacturer’s condition (warranty repairs, etc). Please try it out on other devices if you have any available as it will help grow the list considerably.
