Homebrew

Homebrews are unofficial apps/games made by hobby programmers.

Homebrews can be installed easily:

1) Download a homebrew you want:

  • Wololo.net (Recommended)

  • The Homebrew Planet archive

  • Dashhacks

  • 2) Connect your PSP to PC.

    3) Navigate to PSP/GAME

    4) Copy the folder with the homebrew (should contain "EBOOT.PBP" file) to root/PSP/GAME.

    5) After copying, you should see the homebrew in XMB under "Game".

    Our recommendations:

    PSP Everest 2

    FTP for Vita

You can transfer files between PSP and PC using the intrernet, without the USB cable. Download

    UMDumper

Lets you dump your UMD to the memory stick easily. Download

    Bookr

Of course, there are other ways to run homebrews on PSP, such as Half-Byte Loader (it has not been ported to 6.61 yet), but using CFW is generally considered to be a better option.
