In an unusual deviation from the normal, I had the opportunity to one of the lewd/hentai games on the Nintendo Switch E-Shop. Real Hentai 4 is that game. Is this just shovelware or is there some sort of potential here? Let’s take a look at our short review of the game.

This review will be different from my normal ones as there is not much to review, truth be told.

Real Hentai 4 is a puzzle game. It is very reminiscent of very old flash games from yesteryear. It is fundamental with not much to do outside of some puzzles. Honestly… Not much more outside of that. No story, just a puzzle game. Let’s take a look at the gameplay.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is basic. This is a running theme here with Real Hentai 4, everything is basic. You are given a puzzle, you solve it. From there you move on to the next puzzle and solve it. Each puzzle is “slightly harder” and by slightly harder, just more pieces to the puzzle for you to solve. Nothing else. Again it reminds me of the old Flash games on Newgrounds or other websites from nearly 20 years ago. You do not have much more beyond this.
While the Mechanics is simple, it is not exciting in the slightest. So much more could’ve been added, like animating pictures, actually making the puzzles challenging, and nearly anything else. Real Hentai 4 is so barebone that I genuinely had a low expectation and was still disappointed in terms of gameplay.

I usually describe the visuals and audio in this section, but instead, here is this 22-minute video where you can see some of the puzzles and music attached to it. You can make the determination this way.
Wrap-up/Conclusion:
If you want a hentai game, look elsewhere. If you want a game, go purchase a different game. If you are desperate to have some sort of lewd game on your Switch, there are better options. Real Hentai 4 is a throwback to the Flash games of the past, but it also shows how far we have come. I can’t give it that much. If you have a spare hour and want to waste money, go for this game. Otherwise, I highly advise passing on it.
