3DS Homebrew Exploit in Flipnote Studio 3D announced, already reported to Nintendo’s Bug Bounty Program

Since People on 11.4 and 11.5 were pretty much left out of the Homebrew Launcher so far when it comes to a free alternative, Developer MrNbaYoh worked on an exploit in the 3DS App Flipnote Studio 3D. He hinted this on Twitter just like his previous Game Exploits:

This is great for People with a new3DS or new2DS that are stuck on 11.4 and 11.5 that don’t want to buy a game to use the Homebrew Launcher. Note though that this does NOT allow you install CFW yet and may not allow you to do this for a long time and this also does NOT work on an old3DS or  old2DS. This game isn’t free to download from the Store but can be bought with 200 Platinum Coins from MyNintendo. 200 Coins are easily earned by creating an account or logging in and doing the quests that you are given.

Yesterday surfaced Tweets that mention that this exploit has been leaked and reported to Nintendo’s Bug Bounty Program to earn some quick cash by a User called “PokeAcer”.

If you want to know more about the incident and the background please read the PSA on GBATemp about it.

I really hope that Ninty won’t be too fast so that many people will be able to download Flipnote Studio 3D before it get’s patched. Remember, if it get’s updated. Don’t update it since it will very likely patch the exploit.
