Twisted has been working on this PS4 remote play for the pc for quite some time. He has released the cracked android version of this for everyone to enjoy for free. Now he has been working on his PS4 remote play project for over a year and this Wednesday it looks like it will be finally released.
There is a big catch with his release as it will not be free like the Android app. In my opinion, I see trouble brewing in the air as Sony doesn’t take kind to people making money off their products even if it’s this own code. I hope that this is not the case and I don’t think it’s a bad idea as he will be able to better support it, but there a statement from Twisted’s own site.
“I’ve lost count the amount of hours I’ve put in over this time, but I’ve enjoyed every moment working on this project which leads me onto my main point. I’d like to work on this project full-time, adding features, getting it stable and porting it to other platforms which I know a lot of you want! The only way to support this is to charge for the app, all my previous projects have been free and I don’t want to have to but sadly its the only way to support my living costs. On the plus side this means I have more time to work on the project and provide support to its users, something which I’ve been limited on in the past.
I hope you all can understand my reason for going this route and continue to support the project, I look forward to hearing all your ideas and features which can be added to make the app even better!
I’m still reviewing final pricing, but I’m looking to release with a starting point of £6.50/$10.”
The next thing is once he releases it and someone buys it all they have to do is put it on a torrent then it will be free for everyone. Now Twisted has told be he has put in some secituy measures so people won’t be able to able to do that but just like other scenes people have put in security measures so piracy can’t happen. Now we know others change it and make it do what they say it can’t, so only time will tell with this release. On that note what do you think of this and do you see trouble coming his way from sony?
