Stargate 3DS Coming September 2017!!

Another flash card contender for the 3DS has apparently entered the ring, its called the Stargate 3DS! Who is bringing this to us and why now in a time where CFW can fill most if not all of our needs, also why does it look so damn familiar?

Stargate 3DS does have an impressive set of features and compatible with all console models and versions. This includes the N2DSXL as well, not only that but also NDS with DS mode GUI menu, ntrboothax / magnethax, GBA, NES, and SNES emulation. Stargate 3DS is fully up gradable and will work on FW 11.5 without the need to mess with your system, You just plug and play as they say.

As you can see this may look familiar to you and you would be right to think so. As the Stargate 3DS, according to Maxconsole forum user, GaryOPA it is, in fact, a replacement for Sky3DS+ design, with more features, support, and upgrades.

This very well could be just what some of us have been looking for.

The Stargate 3DS will be available starting in September 2017 and pre orders have already started from Shop01Media, yet as of writing this, they seem to be out of stock for now.

There also been some words going around the net that this Flashcart is from someone we haven’t heard from in a while, cough… like the Gateway 3DS. It did a little digging and it shows that someone of the Gateway team is involved with The Stargate 3DS but it only seems that there just were/are part of the sales staff.

Now could this show a full collaboration between Sky3DS & Gateway? Nothing is official as of now on either site. Although with all the broken promises from Gateway this could make some people think twice before getting one, plus there are many CFW options out these days and a lot of people may just pass this up.

Now The Stargate 3DS promises, support for DS, GBA, NES, SNES, emulators, and support for ntrboothax / magnethax, with a DS mode GUI menu and fully updatable. If the price is right this could be awesome for people who would rather not install a CFW but we have all heard this before, so for now, we will have to just wait an see when its released this September.

Thanks for reading and keep doing it for the love of the game.

  1. I like how the name of the card is a reference to a decent (or perhaps mediocre to some) movie, yet it uses the font from and entirely different (and more epic) series of movies (Star Wars). Jesus, get your scifi movies straight, lol.

It will be interesting to see how this one pans out. I’m a former Gateway 3DS user myself, and I’m a little embarrassed to say I thought it had a very clever approach. Just a shame they seemingly just dropped all support for it.
