PSVita/PSTV: vitaQuake ported for HENkaku

Well know developer Rinnegatamante has just release a vitaQuake a for for either  Rejuvenate/HENkaku. It nice to see ports all ready being converted for HENkaku and hope that this is just one of the many more we’ll see come to the Vita.vitaquake

It’s based on winQuake ( https://github.com/id-Software/Quake/tr … r/WinQuake ) and it supports both Shareware and Full version of Quake.
The packet you can download here contains the free shareware version. If you want to use your full installation of Quake you just have to add pak1.pak file to data/Quake/id1 folder.

TODO List:
– Add network multiplayer support
– Improve sound quality
– Switch to hardware GPU rendering
– Add gyroscope support

Controls:
– Left Analog / Digital Pad = Move player
– Right Analog = Move camera
– O / X = Jump
– R Trigger / Square = Shoot
– Triangle = Change Weapon
– L Trigger = Run
– Select = Enable Danzeff Keyboard in Console Menu for commands insertion

  1. Where do I put the file after I downloaded it? Sorry I didn’t quite understand.

    • You have to put the data file in the /ux0 directory. But rename the original “data” file “dataa”. Cause they only both have the same name. Or I don’t know. That worked for me.

  2. Hi, I’ve installed and copy the folder data, but when start show this error:
    Error c2-12828-1
    ux0:data/psp2core-1469962367-0x00021f2e75-eboot.bin.psp2dmp
    and the application is closed.
    any idea ?
    thks!

  4. thank you bro . on molecular shell. i press select , ip and port number is given . and type that in filezilla . should I upgrade my lower fw vita that has tn-v running on it,I already used henkaku on my other vita with current fw.

  5. I was running Vita Quake 1.3 just fine on my Vita, but now, it’s not working at all. I had backed up my entire system so that I could transfer everything onto a bigger 16 gig memory card, from the 8 gig, and after I ran Henkaku and installed it, everything worked except for the Vita Quake. When I try to load it, it just stays on a black screen. If I hit start after a bit, I get an error.

Even tried deleting the program and reinstalling it. Same thing.

    • It may need to be updated as PSID app we made would not work on Henkaku r3 or r4 but we fixed it and now works on Henkaku r5.

      • I figured out the problem I was having… First, I found that the Quake port had been updated to 2.0, so I downloaded and installed that…. Still wasn’t working. Then, after reading posts from other people, I found out that the folder where the Quake stuff went, called DATA, was also where the crash logs went, and there were pretty much two data folders. I changed the name of the crash log folder, and that fixed everything.
