About 6hrs ago, it seems that Crunchyroll was hacked by Warstrike. Now they say that have stolen Crunchyroll’s database and was able to mess up the site a little bit but its seem everything is back to normal now.
Here is what Crunchyroll had to say about this on their forums.
“Database not stolen, the breach was minor and user facing. No sensitive data was accessed. Better precautions will be taken. We are going to continue to investigate, but this is as I understand it at the moment. It looks like a very simple attack that would not expose sensitive data.”
In my opinion, it’s better to be safe than sorry and change your passwords, also if you use the same password for anything else I would also change it.
